was sure there would not be a paper scrap, but hey there it was lurking in the dark. I also had a Canon camera that went out right after the warranty expired that they would not help me with a year or so ago. I had just read a review on cnet for a canon with lots of user comments saying they had this problem (or similar) and had to throw it away.
