Were you able to burn to a CD? To see if that would fix my issue with Nero failing to do a DVD copy without "thinking" that the blank disk is either not empty, or has only 200 KB DVD drives can burn CDs but CD drives can not burn DVDs. don't ask me why I threw away a lot of CDs thinking that they were corrupted somehow. Everytime we try and burn a cd our computer says "please insert a blank disk" but we bought some cds and it still said that. I too am using a MacBook Pro, 17", 2.4, w/MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-85J.
