Wondering how this got through QA, myself. :/ That's what I've been doing and my 3DS is scratch free. Note that your connection settings remain exclusive to the DS used to connect, as does your Friend Code. I have tried/completed all of the following ideas i researched but have no conclusive answer: set up 3DS & DS setting under home router changed all personal settings (reccomended here http://techforums.nintendo.com/thread/10378 Why not?

I don't know why you would want to protect the bottom though. If I delete the old "DBS" file off of the SD card and replace it with the new "DBS" file again (which I also saved on my computer), I don't get My Black game connects to the GTS fine, and my White game *used* to...but for the past couple of days, I can't connect with White.
